Ninth Annual Photo Contest
Rules and Regulations

Entering: Choose a photo or slide you have taken on a 2004-2005 NCL cruise vacation. (Only photos taken by NCL guests are eligible, photos taken by ship photographer will not be considered). Provide the following information on the entry form, or on a 3" x 5" card. Print your name, address, telephone number and Latitudes number. Include a brief description of your entry. NCL cannot be responsible for delayed, lost, misdirected or damaged entries. All entries become the property of NCL upon submission and will not be returned. NCL reserves the right to edit, adapt, trademark, copyright, publish and/or transfer to third parties all photo/slide submissions. One entry per envelope, multiple entries permitted.
All entries must be postmarked by December 31, 2005.
Judging: Entries will be judged by a panel of judges under the direction of NCL based on the following criteria: (1) quality of photo; (2) content of photo; (3) and the extent to which the photo represents the experience of cruising on NCL. The final selections of the judges will be posted on NCL's web page, www.ncl.com. Decisions of the judges are final. Winners will be determined by January 15, 2006 and subsequently notified by mail.
Prizes: First Prize, an NCL 7-day Caribbean cruise for two. The cruise prize is cruise-only and includes accommodations for two guests in an ocean-view stateroom, excluding suites. All applicable government taxes and fees, air transportation, gratuities, and on-board expenditures are not included and are the responsibility of winners. The cruise prize must be booked and sailing completed by December 31, 2006. Accommodations subject to availability and blackout dates apply. Second place winners will receive a Latitudes tote bag and third place winners will receive a Latitudes baseball cap. No substitutions, transfers or cash in lieu of prizes. NCL reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value in event the advertised prize is not available for any reason.
General: Winners may be required to submit the original of a winning entry for the purposes of publication. Winners must own or secure the copyright to all photos/slides submitted and further agree to obtain, if necessary, privacy releases from all persons clearly identifiable in any entry which receives a prize or is selected for publication. Winners, at the request of NCL, agree to sign any necessary documents to transfer rights, title and interest in any photo for which a prize is awarded or is selected for publication and agree to execute and return to NCL an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release within 15 days of attempted notification. Noncompliance with this time period requirement may result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. All federal, state laws and regulations apply. In the event that a traveling companion is a minor, the release must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Except where prohibited by law acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for NCL and its agencies to use winners' names, likenesses and photo/slide entries for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and the decision of the judges, which shall be final and legally binding in all respects. Void where prohibited by law. As a condition of entering contest, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all claims, damages, judgments and awards are limited to actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred in connection with this contest; and (2) any and all rights to claim any other damages, including, without limitation, special, incidental, consequential and punitive damages and attorney's fees are waived.
Eligibility: Contest open to all current and past NCL cruise passengers who are at least 18 years of age. Employees of NCL, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and public relation agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
