- NCL orders two new ships for delivery in 2007
NCL Corporation (“NCL”) announced today that it
will build two new 2,400-berth Freestyle Cruising ships with
delivery dates in time for the summer season of 2007. One
ship will be built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany and
will be delivered in February 2007. The other ship will be
built at the Helsinki, Finland yard of Aker Finnyards and
will be delivered in May 2007.
December 3, 2004-
NCL Corporation (NCL) today announced it will be expanding
its relationship with gift shop concession partner, Flagship
Retail Services Inc. Flagship, which has operated the gift
shops on board Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Star and Norwegian
Spirit since 2001, will add four more ships to its roster
- Norwegian Wind, Norwegian Majesty, Norwegian Crown and Norwegian
Dream.
November 18, 2004–
Today Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) helped 125 couples relive
one of the happiest moments of their lives on ABC television
network’s “Good Morning America.” At a group
reaffirmation ceremony with BRIDE’S magazine held at
the Hammerstine Ballroom in New York City, 125 couples - including
23 participants from the U.S. Armed Forces - renewed their
wedding vows live on national television.
November 16, 2004 - Today, NCL
Corporation announced that it has acquired one of the two
major tour bus companies in Hawai`i, Polynesian Adventure
Tours. Polynesian Adventure Tours operates over 100 motor
coaches and buses and is licensed to operate as a tour bus
company on all four of the main Hawai`i islands.
October 21, 2004
– Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced Norwegian
Jewel will be delivered on August 5, 2005 from the Meyer Werft
Shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany and will offer two European
sailings before heading to the U.S. to begin her Homeland
Cruising program. After inaugural festivities in New York
and a series of 11-day Canada and New England cruises, Norwegian
Jewel will homeport in Miami and feature an Eastern and Western
Caribbean itinerary throughout the winter season.

27, 2004– NCL Corporation (NCL) today unveiled the
itinerary for Pride of America, the second of three U.S. Flagged
ships that will sail Hawai`i under the NCL America brand.
With a delivery date of June 6, 2005 and after several inaugural
cruises, Pride of America will begin sailing seven-day roundtrip
cruises from Honolulu on July 23, 2005 as well as offering
three-day and four-day inter-island cruises between Honolulu
and Maui.
July 16, 2004 - In
a realignment of its corporate structure within the Star Cruises
Group, and through two new financing transactions, the newly
named NCL Corporation Ltd (“NCL Corp”) has raised
funds totaling $1.05 billion. The proceeds will be used to
refinance existing debt, and to fund the continued renewal
and growth of the fleet.
July 6, 2004
– On Independence Day, NCL America announced the addition
of a third U.S. Flagged ship to Hawai`i to be delivered in
the summer of 2006. The Pride of Hawai`i is the second ship
in the original Project America program and the third ship
of the brand’s U.S.-Flagged fleet, joining Pride of
Aloha and Pride of America.
July 5, 2004 - NCL
America announced today that it had concluded negotiations
with Lloyd Werft in Germany, its insurers and banks, and agreed
a new delivery date for the Pride of America on June 6, 2005.
July 4, 2004 - Today
marked a milestone in U.S. maritime history as NCL America
christened the first modern U.S.-flagged cruise ship in nearly
half a century. The inaugural celebration of Pride of Aloha
represents a new beginning for the U.S. Flagged cruise industry
that has been dormant since 2001.
June 30, 2004 - In
January 2003, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced an industry
first -- it was deploying Norwegian Dawn out of New York year
round. Since that announcement, the city has seen a revival
of cruising out of the Big Apple.

Line (NCL) today announced the name of its new ship, Norwegian
Jewel, and details of her deployment. The ship will sail in
two of the industry’s biggest cruise markets –

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that Strictly Slots
Magazine recently certified that the slot and video poker
machines onboard select ships yield an average payback of
95 percent - more than any other cruise line and a notable
boost from the industry standard of 90 percent.

Today, NCL America announced details on Pride of Aloha's Kumu
Cultural Center. The Center, which is the heart of the ship,
is designed with a quiet and warm elegance and is used as
an area of learning, for meetings and as a gathering place.

- For the first time in nearly half a century, a modern, 2000-passenger
cruise ship will fly a U.S. Flag. Today, on board the vessel
in San Francisco, Colin Veitch, president and CEO of NCL America
and dignitaries from the Maritime Administration and the U.S.
Coast Guard raised the Stars and Stripes on Pride of Aloha,
the brand's first U.S. Flag vessel.

- NCL America today announced Margaret Awamura Inouye will
be the Godmother of Pride of Aloha. As a leader in the Hawai'i
community who embodies the islands' charm, warmth and character,
Mrs. Inouye will christen NCL America's first U.S. flagged
ship at a ceremony in Honolulu on July 4, 2004.

- Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) Norwegian Star departed dry
dock yesterday after having completed a multi-million dollar
renovation.
May 20, 2004 - The
NCL Group has appointed Kevin Quinlivan to the newly created
position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) effective May
24th, 2004. In this new role, Quinlivan will be responsible
for the group’s worldwide IT strategies and operations
across all business units and functions.
May 11, 2004 –
The NCL Group has appointed William A. Hamlin as Executive
Vice President, Fleet Operations effective June 1, 2004. In
this new role for the company, Hamlin will oversee marine
operations and hotel operations for the ships of Norwegian
Cruise Line, Orient Lines, and NCL America. Hamlin will report
to Colin Veitch, President and CEO of the NCL Group.
