MIAMI - January 4, 2006 - Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) will again feature a Wave of Prizes contest during its eighth annual Sale of All Sails promotion for 2006. NCL will shower cruise sellers with a multitude of prizes in a booking contest designed to reward agents for their hard work during the busiest time of the year. And new to this year’s campaign, a dedicated Web site for the program called www.ilovemitch.net where agents can hear fun facts from NCL’s Vice President of Sales Mitch Schlesinger and find out details of the program.
NCL’s Wave of Prizes gives travel retailers the chance to win prizes every day in January and February, traditionally the industry’s heaviest booking period, known as the Wave Season. Various prizes are awarded including:
· Free cruises for two such as a Norwegian Jewel Mediterranean cruise or a week aboard the new Pride of Hawai`i;
· A breakfast and coffee break for the entire office;
· Lunch for the entire office;
· Bottles of champagne;
· NCL garment bags and windbreakers;
· Steak dinners and more.
NCL will award prizes daily. NCL has created a calendar, listing each day’s prize for agents to have at their desks. Winners will be selected randomly and Schlesinger will personally contact each and every winner. Agents who have not yet received a calendar can download one from www.ilovemitch.net or by calling the NCL Sales Department at 800-327-7030.
NCL has created special offers to assist agents in selling cruises during the wave period that include:
· Up to four category upgrades;
· A guaranteed two category upgrade on all Pride of Hawai`i sailings;
· A $50 shipboard credit
· Again in 2006…Book a 2006 cruise between January 3 and February 28, 2006 and pay for 100 percent of the cruise with MasterCard and receive a special coupon booklet good for onboard savings.
And, new for 2006, agents may now customize their own Sale
of All Sails email messages to deliver to their clients, absolutely
free. Agents can use the new email program by visiting the
Sale of All Sales pages in the travel agents’ area of
www.ncl.com.
To be eligible for the Wave of Prizes contest, agents need only to make the appropriate booking each day, with each booking becoming an automatic entry into the Wave of Prizes contest.
