MIAMI, April 17, 2006 - NCL Corporation ("NCL") today announced the appointment of Claude Boudoux as its new vice president, food and beverage, effective immediately. Boudoux comes to NCL with a distinguished and varied food & beverage resume.
Most recently he served as the head of F&B at the five-star Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where he oversaw all food and beverage outlets including the renowned Polo Lounge Restaurant, which was recognized by the Wine Spectator with the “Best Award of Excellence” every year from 2001-2005. Prior to his post at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Boudoux worked in various Las Vegas hotels serving as vice president of food and beverage at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino and then specializing in designing and opening F&B operations in new resort hotels. Before working in Las Vegas, Boudoux served as the head F&B executive at several well known hotel companies throughout the world, with an emphasis on Asia and Hawai`i including the Hilton Hotels Corporation, Regent International Hotels and The Four Seasons.
Welcoming the new vice president, NCL’s President and CEO Colin Veitch said: “Claude’s extensive background inside the hospitality industry but outside the cruise sector, makes him the perfect fit for NCL where we are known for looking beyond cruise industry conventional wisdom and practices and offering something unique and exciting to our customers. As we continue to introduce new ships to our fleet this year, his industry knowledge and experience will help take NCL’s signature Freestyle Dining program to the next level."
Boudoux will be responsible for F&B Operations for all three NCL Corporation brands -- Norwegian Cruise Line, NCL America, and Orient Lines – and will report to Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations Manfred Ursprunger.
“I look forward to applying my hotel and resort experience, to NCL and its Freestyle Cruising program," Boudoux said. “NCL has the youngest fleet in the industry and the most differentiated F&B product by far. This is a tremendous opportunity and I am very excited to be a part of NCL.”
