NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE ADOPTS FIDELIO CRUISE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

~ System to Provide Guest Seamless Experience ~

MIAMI, Fla., April 30, 2001 -- Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has entered into a contract with Fidelio Cruise Software Group to utilize the Fidelio Cruise Management System and Micros POS, a state-of-the-art, fully integrated on-board management system covering all aspects of hotel operations, crewing and security.

The Fidelio "one card fits all" Cruise Management System will replace the current on-board point-of-sale system, providing guests and crew with an even more hassle-free experience. A magnetic stripe card will be given to all passengers at check-in and will be used to track daily passenger onboard activity. It can also be used like a credit card, allowing guests the ease to charge expenses automatically to their onboard account. It also will double as a security card that is swiped when guests leave the ship in port and swiped again when they re-board.

Befitting NCL's Freestyle Cruising, the system allows passengers more freedom while on-board, and upon departure the system will allow passengers to perform self-checkout at their leisure. The card system also will be utilized by the crew with each crewmember's card displaying a photo for gangway security. The system will automate onboard accounting for passengers and crew, hotel maintenance tracking, amenity and special request handling, and shore excursion booking capabilities. On Norwegian Sky, and the newer vessels to come, the card also will double as a room key for both passengers and crew.

"Our utilization of the innovative Fidelio system is another step toward further improving guest services and making the cruise a more seamless process," said Colin Veitch, president and CEO of NCL. "This system fits with our Freestyle Cruising concept, allowing the guest more freedom and less hassle."

The conversion will begin in June 2001 on Norwegian Wind, while the ship is in service, with no interruption to itineraries or passenger services. The rest of the fleet will adopt the technology by early 2002. All future builds will accommodate the Fidelio system. Star Cruises (NCL's parent company) is already a user of FIDELIO CRUISE and MICROS 8700 throughout the fleet.

Tony Heuer, president of Fidelio Cruise Group, stated, "NCL has over the years led the way with innovative ideas in terms of their products and services and we are looking forward to working with them." Heuer added, "Fidelio Cruise today offers a highly flexible product which we believe will assist NCL in delivering their most recent and ground breaking Freestyle Cruising concept."

Formed in 1995, and headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, with an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Fidelio Cruise today is a global company and currently supports 91 vessels representing 31 cruise lines worldwide. Building on stable foundation provided by majority shareholder, Micros Fidelio Software GmbH, Fidelio Cruise offers solutions that address operational, sales and marketing and legal challenges faced by cruise ship owners operating in today's highly competitive cruise industry.

Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line is an international cruise company and industry innovator that currently operates a fleet of eight ships sailing to more than 200 ports around the world. NCL is currently building three new ships: Norwegian Sun, a 1,960-passenger sister ship to the Norwegian Sky (for delivery September 2001); Norwegian Star, a 2,200-passenger ship that will be NCL's largest (for delivery in December 2001); and Norwegian Dawn, a 2,200-passenger sister ship to Norwegian Star (for delivery in December 2002).

Following the acquisition of NCL last year, Star Cruises is now the fourth largest cruise line in the world operating a combined fleet of 20 ships with more than 21,000 berths. By the end of 2002, with the three ships currently on order, Star Cruises with NCL will have approximately 28,000 lower berths.
