NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE PARTNERS WITH SHOWTIME PICTURES

MIAMI, June 17, 2002 – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced it has partnered with Showtime Pictures to provide onboard photography services for passengers.

NCL will provide more options for guests through the use of digital photography, which allows prints to be reproduced on key chains, buttons and mugs, as well as traditional photo albums. The flexibility of custom packages based on specific destinations and the ships, allow for photographs to be digitally mastered in 72 different designs, including converting photos to canvas images.

“We are delighted with this new relationship, and believe this partnership will further illustrate Freestyle Cruising by offering passengers more choices in how they want their vacation memories to be captured,” said Andy Stuart, senior vice president of marketing and sales for NCL.

Because Showtime Pictures only uses digital equipment, NCL can offer guests the benefit of seeing their photograph immediately instead of waiting hours before viewing them in the gallery. Also, passengers will have the opportunity to e-mail photos directly from the ship.

“We admire NCL’s innovative nature and see the flexibility and choice offered by our digital photography as a good match for the ground breaking Freestyle Cruising product aboard NCL ships. We are looking forward to adding to Freestyle Cruising with innovation in the area of on board photography,” Kemal Arin, President of Showtime Pictures says.

Showtime Pictures has 37 locations worldwide at popular tourist highlights including Elvis Pressley’s Graceland, NASA Space Center Houston, and the Eiffel Tower Experience in Las Vegas.

Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line is an international cruise company and industry innovator that currently operates a fleet of nine ships sailing to more than 140 ports around the world. NCL plans to take delivery of its newest member the Norwegian Dawn, a 2,200-passenger sister ship to Norwegian Star, in December of this year.
