NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE ALTERS NORWEGIAN SEA
ITINERARY
Miami - September 13, 2001 - As a result of the tragic events
this week and the U.S. Coast Guard's closing of the Port of
New York, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today announced two
Norwegian Sea itinerary changes for this week.
On Sunday, September 16, Norwegian Sea will arrive in the
Port of Boston instead of New York for disembarkation. The
ship will arrive in Boston at 5 p.m. NCL will provide passengers
with transportation from the Port of Boston to a number of
drop off points in the New York City area, where they will
be able to continue with their previously arranged travel
plans. If passengers miss flights due to the schedule change,
NCL will work to re-book the outbound flights from Boston
the following day and will keep the passengers overnight onboard
the ship.
In addition, passengers scheduled to sail Norwegian Sea
on Sunday, September 16 from New York City will now embark
in Boston on Monday, September 17. NCL will make arrangements
to either re-route or transport all passengers from a number
of pick-up points in New York City to join Norwegian Sea on
Monday. Because of the embarkation change, the ship will not
leave Boston until Monday, September 17.
NCL has sent notification of this change to travel agents
and is working closely with travel agents and airlines to
minimize disruption and inconvenience for passengers.
Agents and passengers affected by this itinerary change
can contact NCL for more information by calling (800) 625-5672.
