NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE'S NORWEGIAN STAR SCHEDULED
TO ARRIVE IN MIAMI EARLY
NCL Offers Florida Residents Two One-Night
Preview Cruises Onboard Norwegian Star
Miami - November 6, 2001 - Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) today
announced its brand new ship, Norwegian Star will arrive in
Miami from the shipyard in Holland on Nov. 14th instead of
Nov. 15th as originally planned. To celebrate its early arrival
and commemorate the inaugural season of Norwegian Star, NCL
is offering two one-night, preview cruises to Florida residents
on Nov.15 and 16.
Norwegian Star is NCL's second ship purpose-built for the
line's innovative Freestyle Cruising concept, the largest
and fastest vessel in the fleet and the first ship custom-designed
for the Hawaii Market.
Norwegian Star is a ship like no other - it features 10
different restaurants and 11 different menus, boats more than
500 staterooms and suites with private balconies and is home
to two, 5,300 square feet Garden Villas, each featuring a
large living room, dining room, three separate ensuite bedrooms
with entertainment center and luxury bath with whirlpool tub
and separate shower. Because the ship will be based in Hawaii,
it does not normally have an onboard casino. However, NCL
has installed a casino for the one night preview cruises.
"We're excited to receive the early delivery of Norwegian
Star and wanted to offer Florida residents the opportunity
to sail on her first US voyages," said Andy Stuart, senior
vice president of sales and marketing for Norwegian Cruise
Line.
Thursday rates start as low as $49 per person for an inside
cabin. Passengers who book oceanview cabins for $79 per person
and oceanview cabins with balconies for $99 per person will

of select future NCL voyages; those who book and mini-suites
for $129 per person and suites for $199 per person will receive
a $50 cruise credit certificate; anyone booking a suite for
$199 per person or a Garden Villa for $599 per person will

Friday rates start as low as $69 per person for an inside

and then book a future cruise aboard the ship on her permanent
deployment of seven-day cruises year-round in Hawaii,"
Stuart added.
These rates are per person for up to two people per cabin;
third and fourth passengers cost $15 each when sailing with
two full fare paying passengers. Customers interested in taking
