The NCL Group Names Vice President Marketing Communications
Miami, FL - The NCL Group has named Karen Sinclair vice president
of marketing communications for Norwegian Cruise Line and
Orient Lines. In her new role, Sinclair will oversee trade
and consumer advertising; E Commerce, CRS and Internet development;
direct marketing; and loyalty programs and their day-to-day
operations.
She will continue to report directly to Andy Stuart, senior
vice president of marketing and sales. "Karen has done
a tremendous job with both our direct marketing efforts and
loyalty program and we feel confident that her expansive marketing
background makes her the ideal person for this position,"
Stuart said. "She has earned the respect from her peers
in the company as well as the industry and we are proud to
have her lead our marketing team."
Sinclair joined NCL in 2001 as director of direct marketing
where she supervised all direct marketing activities including
direct mail, database management and loyalty programs. Previously,
Sinclair was manager of database marketing for Princess Cruises
in Los Angeles where she had held a number of advertising
and direct marketing positions since 1992. Before Princess,
she was an account executive with a Los Angeles advertising
agency, Della Femina McNamee.
A graduate from University of California, Los Angeles, Sinclair
holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
