Norwegian Cruise Line’s Tenth Annual Pro Basketball Cruise Offers Summer Rebound To Sports Fans

"Texaribbean" Cruise from Houston, July 25-August 1, 1999, Features Current Stars and Hall of Fame Athletes

MIAMI, Fla., March 31, 1999-- Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pro Basketball Cruise, July 25-August 1, 1999, offers basketball fans the perfect pick-me-up this summer, as the Norwegian Sea sets sail from the Port of Houston for a fun-filled week of non-stop action.

As the Norwegian Sea cruises to the Western Caribbean, guests will find a host of opportunities to meet some of the sport’s top players. Activities scheduled during the cruise include: a three-on-three basketball tournament and three-point shoot-out on the deck of the Norwegian Sea’s basketball court; Pro Basketball basic training workout; Question and Answer sessions; a sports trivia contest and an autograph session. Other activities include a "Basketball Legends" presentation and taping of the "Coast to Coast with James Brown" national sports radio show.

For younger fans, a "Kids Only" basketball clinic with Hall of Fame players will be held during the cruise, offering group instructional sessions, special tips and fun-and-games including a lively version of "Simon Says."

The unique "Texaribbean" cruises also feature Tex-Mex cuisine and a selection of more than 50 brands of tequila; fiesta deck parties with mariachi bands, country-line dancing classes and a dazzling production of the Broadway musical "Grease."

The Norwegian Sea sails on seven-day, round-trip cruises from the Port of Houston to Cancun, Cozumel, Mexico and Roatan, in the Bay Islands of Honduras.
