NCL Names Sales Persons Of The Year
Miami, Fla., April 22, 1999 -- Norwegian Cruise Line has
named Melissa Nightingale and Mary Jo Cutaia as Co-Sales Persons
of the Year for 1998. The announcement was made at the companys
recent national sales meeting, held aboard the M/S Norwegian
Wind. The two were chosen from over 53 sales professionals
from within NCLs field sales, national accounts and
corporate and incentive sales departments. NCLs Sales
Person of the Year is selected on the basis of numerous criteria
including meeting revenue goals, providing outstanding service
to their travel agents or accounts, implementing creative
selling ideas and tactics, and leading by example.
Nightingale covers the San Francisco/Peninsula territory,
which includes the South Bay as well as parts of the East
Bay and Monterey County. She joined NCL in 1997 having previously
served as a District Sales Manager for Royal Cruise Line for
15 years. Cutaia is based in Toronto and is responsible for
the territory of Eastern Canada including Ontario, Quebec
and the Maritime Provinces. She has been with NCL since 1989.
In addition, the Line also named four Regional Team Players
of the Year from its four North American regions, and an Inside
Sales Person of the Year. These representatives were selected
by their co-workers for being helpful to, and sharing information
with their peers. Those selected were Vince Petreikis, Southeast
region; Susan McCauley, Northeast; Adam Blackstock, Central;
Andy Magistrale, Western region; and Valeria Gibson, Inside
Sales.
A special recognition award was presented to Chris Wheeler,
Account Manager in the Corporate and Incentive Sales dept.,
for the record amount of charter business he booked for NCL
in 1998.

and in our Miami headquarters," said Andy Stuart, senior
