BREMERHAVEN, Germany, May 17, 1999 Fully confident
its newest ship, the 2,002-guest M/S Norwegian Sky will set
sail on its maiden voyage on schedule, August 9, 1999, Norwegian
Cruise Line today announced a special guarantee to its valued
travel agents and guests. Designed to demonstrate NCLs
long-standing commitment to the travel trade, the guarantee
provides the following in the highly unlikely event the ship
does not sail on schedule:
"We are fully confident that our beautiful new ship,
the Norwegian Sky, will set sail on schedule as planned,"
said Art Sbarsky, NCLs executive vice president. "To
prove our conviction, we are offering our highly-valued travel
partners and guests a special guarantee that fully protects
them," Sbarsky added. "We are committed to a seamless
delivery of the Norwegian Sky."
Just four months prior to her maiden voyage, the ship is
shaping up right on schedule at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in
Bremerhaven, Germany, under the direction of NCLs newbuilding
team and noted marine architects Tillberg Design of Sweden.
