NCL Announces Itinerary Change For Norwegian
Dreams October 23, 1999 Cruise;
Will Substitute "Ancient Holy Lands" Itinerary
To Meet Heavy Booking Demand.
Miami, FL, June 14, 1999 -- Norwegian Cruise Line announced
today that the October 23, 1999 itinerary of the M/S Norwegian
Dream, has been changed to a 12-day "Ancient Holy Lands"
itinerary, departing Istanbul, Turkey, on October 23 and debarking
in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, on November 4. The ship was
originally scheduled to offer a 12-day "Black Sea"
itinerary during the same period. As a result, the Norwegian
Dreams fall schedule will now include three, 12-day
"Black Sea" cruises, September 17 and 29, and October
11, and three, 12-day "Ancient Holy Lands" cruises,
October 23, November 4 and 16.
"We have had exceptionally high demand this year for
the Ancient Holy Lands cruises," said Art
Sbarsky, executive vice president of NCL. "We are making
this change to balance the season to have the same number
of Black Sea and Ancient Holy Lands
sailings."
The October 23 "Ancient Holy Lands" cruise from
Istanbul to Rome will include the following ports of call:
Dikili and Kusadasi, Turkey; Haifa and Ashdod, Israel; Port
Said, Egypt; Rhodes and Iraklion, Greece; and Naples, Italy.
Guests booked on the original October 23 cruise will be offered
a choice of options including, sailing on the new "Ancient
Holy Lands" itinerary with their current rate protected;
moving to another "Black Sea" date with their current
rate protected plus a $100 per stateroom onboard credit; or
a full refund.
