 NCL Welcomes Pro Baseball Legends During Its Annual Sports AfloatŪ Baseball Cruise, November 28–December 5, 1999

Two Original Members of All-American Girls Professional Baseball League Onboard

Miami, Fla., June 15, 1999 – Guests sailing aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Sea will have the opportunity to "pinch hit" with some of the game’s most renowned baseball players during a week-long Pro Baseball Cruise to the Western Caribbean, November 28-December 5, 1999. For the first time ever on NCL’s annual Pro Baseball Cruise, two players of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League will be onboard to discuss what it was like to play in the women’s league made famous by the movie A League of Their Own.

Many of baseball’s finest will be onboard to host and participate in a fun-filled schedule of activities including: sports trivia, Pro Baseball workout, autograph signing session and question-and-answer periods. Guests may also be part of a radio audience for "Coast-to-Coast with James Brown," the number one national sports radio talk show that will tape its program from the ship.

The 42,000-ton, 1,518-guest Norwegian Sea sails NCL’s popular "Texaribbean" itinerary, which cruises round-trip from the port of Houston visiting Cancun, Cozumel, and Roatan, located in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Cruise-only fares for the Sports Afloat Pro Baseball Cruise start at $1,169 per person, based on double occupancy, including port charges. Players are subject to change without notice.
