Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Itinerary Enhancement

Norwegian Wind’s August 23, 1999 Sailing To Feature Awe-Inspiring Glacier Bay

MIAMI, Fla., July 22, 1999 – Norwegian Cruise Line today announced the itinerary enhancement of its August 23, 1999, Alaska sailing aboard the Norwegian Wind. Through the acquisition this week of an additional coveted permit, this itinerary of the Norwegian Wind will now include a visit to Glacier Bay instead of the previously announced Sawyer Glacier.

"We are delighted to offer this additional itinerary enhancement to the August 23 sailing aboard the Norwegian Wind," said Art Sbarsky, NCL’s executive vice president. "Gaining additional access to the wondrous scenery of Glacier Bay allows our guests to see wildlife they might not experience on other cruises, as well as the possibility of ‘calving’ glaciers right before their eyes."

This itinerary includes visits to Juneau, Skagway, Haines and Ketchikan, and cruises the Inside Passage as well as awe-inspiring trips through Glacier Bay.

The unique services aboard Norwegian Wind bolster the overall NCL cruise experience, offering outstanding dining, first-rate entertainment, attentive service, and luxurious spa facilities. Wraparound windows and promenades allow guests to truly experience the beauty of this stunning wilderness frontier.

Cruise-only fares to Alaska start at $989 per person, based on double occupancy, including port charges. Air add-ons are available from most major North American gateways. For reservations and more information contact a travel agent or call NCL in the U.S. and Canada at (800) 327-7030; in Dade County, Fla., (305) 436-0866.
