Norwegian Cruise Line Resumes Calling At Great Stirrup Cay

NCL’s Private Island in the Bahamas Ready to Welcome Guests After Brief Hiatus Following Hurricane Floyd

MIAMI, Fla., October 8, 1999—Norwegian Cruise Line today announced that it would resume calling at its private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay, during the October 9 sailing of the S/S Norway. Calls at the island had been temporarily suspended last month in the aftermath of Hurricane Floyd. NCL re-nourished the island’s beach and made repairs to the structures on the island during the four-week period following the hurricane.

The Norway will return to its regular schedule on the October 9 sailing, offering seven-day cruises round-trip from the Port of Miami to St. Maarten, St. John, St. Thomas and Great Stirrup Cay.

The M/S Norwegian Wind, M/S Norwegian Majesty and NCL’s newest vessel, the M/S Norwegian Sky, will also call at Great Stirrup Cay at various times this winter.

For reservations and more information contact a travel agent or call NCL at 1-800-327-7030; (305) 436-0866 in Dade County, Fla.
