Norwegian Cruise Line Expands Its Commitment To Fitness: Gyms
Open "24/7" Fleetwide
All NCL Gyms to Operate 24-hours Per
Day, Seven Days Per Week
MIAMI, Fla., October 28, 1999 Norwegian
Cruise Line has expanded its commitment to fitness in announcing
that gyms will now operate 24-hours per day, seven days per
week, starting November 1 aboard all Norwegian Cruise Line
ships.
"The decision to open our gyms 24-hours
a day was made to demonstrate our commitment to the fitness
needs of our guests," said Art Sbarsky, Executive Vice
President of Marketing and Sales. "Guests sailing on
Norwegian Cruise Line have lots of options on how to spend
their days whether exploring a port or while at sea. With
a 24-hour gym, guests can have their fun and maintain their
exercise regimen at their convenience."
In other wellness news, Norwegian Cruise Line
recently teamed up with Cooking Light, the worlds largest
epicurean magazine to bring innovative light cuisine to the
high seas. In the agreement, the first time any cruise line
has so broadly integrated a magazines cuisine into its
own, Norwegian Cruise Line will include more than 100 Cooking
Light recipes on all its ships breakfast, lunch and
dinner menus. These offerings will be incorporated into NCLs
new millennium menus that will be introduced aboard NCLs
newest vessel, the Norwegian Sky, on its maiden Caribbean
sailing, November 14, 1999.
